Bonus Deuces Wild Video Poker
Bonus deuces wild is the video poker equivalent of five-card draw poker, but there are a couple of twists. Of course, deuces (2's) are wild. Also, you can get bigger payouts by including 3's, 4's, 5's, and Aces into your winning hands. Unlike some draw games, all hands do need to have at least three of a kind to qualify for a payout; this is due to wild card. Players can bet up to five coins at a time with coins ranging in value from $0.05 to $5.00; the more coins you play, the more you stand to win! Here's how you play.
The game starts off by having you make a wager. Once you've selected the coin denominations and number of coins, you can press the deal button. The computer will give you five cards, all of which are facing up. Here is your chance to make some decisions. You need to choose which cards you want to discard (if any) and then click on the cards you want to keep. After you've made your selections, you can click the draw button and the software will replace your discarded cards with new ones. The five cards that are in front of you at this point cannot be changed: this is your final hand.
The strength of each Bonus Deuces Wild Video Poker hand roughly follows standard poker hand rankings, but remember that deuces are wild. The pay table on your screen will tell you how much each type of hand is worth based on the number of coins you've bet. Here is the pay table for Bonus Deuces Wild assuming that you're playing on the "full pay" version. Some casinos may use a lower payout structure.

Even though the optimum strategy may be fairly complicated, here are a couple of things to keep in mind when playing Bonus Deuces Wild. First of all, deuces (2's) are wild, so there really is no reason to discard any 2's. Also, since 3's, 4's, 5's, and Aces can be more valuable than 6's-K's, you may need to make some counter-intuitive choices. For example, if you had four deuces and a King, you would want to discard the king in hopes of getting a 3, 4, 5, or an Ace. It might not make sense in normal draw poker, but this is Bonus Deuces Wild video poker!
