Although full pay versions of Double Double Bonus Video Poker are rare, they do give you an expected return greater than one hundred percent. This means that, with perfect video poker strategy, players actually have a statistical advantage over the house. Most online casinos only offer a lower pay version of Double Double Bonus, but even these typically only have small house advantages.
The main feature of this game, and the source of its name, is the bonus round. After each winning hand, you'll be given a chance to double your winnings. You can decline and take your money, or accept and enter a bonus round. In this bonus round, you will see one face-up card that belongs to the dealer and four face-down cards that belong to you. Simply pick one of these face-down cards at random and click the draw button. If the card you pick is worth more than the dealer's, then you win and double your winnings and receive an invitation to double your winnings again! However, if you lose the bonus game, you lose your original bet as well as your winnings.
Just like most video poker games, Double Double Bonus Video Poker uses the five-card draw format. You start with five cards (all facing up) and decide which cards to hold and which to replace. The computer will honor your request and give you new cards in place of the ones you no longer want.
