Double Jackpot Video Poker

Double Jackpot poker is a favorite among real money video poker players because it finds a balance between some of the most important video game features. You can score with as little as a pair of Jacks or better, there are special bonus payouts for Four Of A Kinds, and you can play a bonus game to double your winnings after every victory! All of these special attributes come together in a neatly packaged, easy to play video poker game.

The first step to playing Double Jackpot video poker online is to set your coin size. Choose anything from five cents to five dollars, but make sure you can afford to bet five coins per hand. This is a surefire way to lower the house's edge because you have at least a small chance of winning the largest jackpot (4000 for Royal Flush). Make your five-coin bet by clicking the Bet Max button, and then click the Deal button to get your cards. From your starting hand, click on the cards that you want to keep and then click on the Draw button to get the new cards that replace those that you don't want. The computer will now use the pay table to decide whether or not your hand qualifies for a pay out. If you do win, you will be given an opportunity to play a Double or Nothing bonus game where you have to randomly choose a card larger than the dealer's.

The strategy in Double Jackpot video poker is directly based upon the pay table above (full pay version shown). Because there are so many distinctions made between the Four Of A Kinds, the strategy for Double Jackpot is extremely complicated. The one major tip that you can take away from this pay table is that you should keep low pairs over single high cards. The low pairs won't win on their own, but they will be just as likely to land you a Three of Kind and they will occasionally result in Two Pairs; both of which payout significantly more than Jacks or Better.
